In this interesting role you will provide administrative support within the Forensic Investigation Unit (FIU) ensuring the integrity and continuity of forensic / biometric evidence and presenting a professional interface between FIU and its customers in support of the organisational requirement to secure detections and convictions. 

The duties will include the handling, quality assurance, documenting and recording onto computerised systems of forensic exhibits, including biometric samples and updating the results achieved. Dealing with incoming and outgoing post/dispatches and where necessary the secure packaging of exhibits for onward transmission ensuring exhibit integrity and carrying out general clerical duties such as call handling, filing, typing and photocopying. 

You will have recent experience of working in an administrative role and working to deadlines along with proven computer skills and the ability to interrogate and accurately input data from a variety of sources.  You will also have excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work as part of a team. 

This is a full time position, working 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday 0800 – 1600 hours.  

The successful candidate may be expected to undertake the established psychological screening process as the role may include handling images/items of an unpleasant nature.
