An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified individual to join the Investigations team, part of the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) hosted by Thames Valley Police on behalf of the region

SEROCU leads the response across the region to the risk posed by serious and organised crime in Hampshire, Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Thames Valley. It is committed to relentlessly disrupting these risks by using its 13 capabilities and by partnership working with the National Crime Agency, Forces and other partners.

SEROCU provides the vital link from national capabilities and expertise to local policing and knowledge, enabling the South East region to deliver the government’s Serious and Organised Crime Strategy and to protect communities from harm.

Applicants are invited from substantive Detective Sergeants and from substantive Detective Constables through a promotion board, but not yet promoted for the above post.

You will be responsible for the supervision of SEROCU investigations personnel involved in the disruption of Organised Crime Groups operating within the South East. Primarily you will be involved with the investigation of serious and complex organised and cross-border crime.

The successful applicant will have completion of ICIDP and a sound background in covert investigations. You will be an excellent team manager, dynamic and highly motivated, and willing to work in a flexible and committed way.

You may be required to travel for business purposes on occasion and demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours, and you must be prepared to be security cleared to an enhanced level.
