An opportunity has arisen to join the Prevent Team at Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE). Working within Prevent, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a difference by identifying and supporting individuals vulnerable to radicalisation. The successful candidate will work within the Prevent Gateway Team and will be a central point of contact for CTPSE Prevent, liaising with internal and external partners. The candidate will be responsible for the management of Prevent referrals received across the South East region, accurately recording referrals and supporting the wider Prevent teams by undertaking enquiries and research. The candidate will have strong communication skills, experience of partnership working and the ability to handle sensitive information. The candidate will need to demonstrate an understanding of National Prevent Strategy and the Counter Terrorism & Securities Act 2015.

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence.  

This post requires occasional travel across the South East region and the UK.

Security is of paramount importance to us due to the nature of the role. You need to be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years.  Exemptions apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.  You will be required to successfully pass and maintain the relevant security clearance in order to perform the role.
