This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join Thames Valley Police in one of our most senior and influential collaborated roles, reporting directly to the Chief Constables of Thames Valley Police and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary.

As our Chief Digital and Information Officer you will drive the vision, leadership and strategic direction in the delivery of digital, data and technology aims for both Forces to enable transformative enterprise-wide improvements in quality, efficiency and organisational effectiveness. You will undertake the role of Senior Information Risk Officer (SIRO) providing executive level accountability and assurance, establishing an information risk strategy ensuring information risks are addressed proactively and as a priority for business outcomes.

We are looking for someone who can develop and implement a digital-first approach to service delivery, working closely with colleagues at all levels of the organisation to ensure our Public, as well as internal Staff and Officers, benefit from the full range of opportunities presented by digital solutions.

Vetting.  All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice. The residency requirement is necessary to enable all applicants to be checked in an equitable manner. Thames Valley Police will allow applicants to apply who do not necessarily reach the criteria as long as they have proven UK residency and supporting evidence where necessary.
