In this role you will deliver Neighbourhood Policing on the police area. This will be done in partnership with stake holders and the public working to force Neighbourhood guidelines. Provide support and safeguarding to the most vulnerable members of the community. You will work towards demand reduction on the police service.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Working in partnership to deliver priorities.
  • Use a problem solving approach to solve priorities.
  • Understand and manage risk according to national and force policy and guidelines.
  • Engage with partners and the public to deliver Neighbourhood Policing.
  • Ensure delivery of Neighbourhood Guidelines.
  • Work to the force and LPA priorities.
  • Manage and investigate crime incidents.

If you are currently in a Force critical post, there is an expectation that you will remain in that post for a minimum of two years before applying to change roles (or 18 months for custody sergeants).

Candidates may be required to pass vetting and OHU or attend assessments and courses for this role. If any of these are failed the candidate will be posted back to a response role on an LPA. Postings are determined in accordance with organisational need although consideration will be given to personal circumstances.

Vetting.  All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice.
