In this exciting role you will oversee Thames Valley Police’s bail management process and responsibilities. Duties will include tracking and monitoring all Thames Valley Police investigations where pre charge bail has been granted and providing advice to investigators on a range of investigative issues ensuring positive outcomes are secured at court. As part of a team, you will act as the Single Point of Contact for the Force, Crown Prosecution Service and the courts for all pre charge bail enquiries and provide performance data for monitoring purposes by internal and external stakeholders, responding within a defined timescale. You will act as the point of contact for operational issues arising from pre charge bail to ensure a consistent and accurate process as well as quality assuring applications for courts and Crown Prosecution Service. There will also be a requirement to monitor and manage the electronic tagging of persons subject to electronic tagging requirements.

The successful candidate will have a good knowledge and experience of interpreting bail legislation with the ability to provide clear, accurate and concise written and verbal communications whilst paying attention to detail. Previous experience of resolving issues from a different range of internal/external customers is required. Proven experience of using an intermediate level of MS Office applications is essential to include Word and Excel with the ability to input, update and retrieve system information. You will be able to make sound and time effective decisions whilst working under pressure and will maintain a high degree of integrity and trust when dealing with sensitive/classified information. Previous experience of working within a team environment with demonstrable organisational and time management skills is required.
