Preventing and thoroughly investigating crime, supporting victims and bringing offenders to justice. In this interesting role you will scope for, collect, view, assess and investigate data in various forms, maintaining viewing logs to produce and provide an evidential product for use in Court. The CCTV Investigator will also attend and provide evidence in court when required. In addition you will liaise and work with other agencies to support Major Crime investigations including Highways Authorities, Local Councils and Private Companies.  

You will have proven experience of producing and presenting detailed and accurate reports along with drawing together data from hard drives, cloud storage and other platforms. You will also have a proven ability to work confidentially and independently to prioritise high workloads in a pressurised environment to ensure successful outcomes. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills to develop professional relationships with staff at all levels, both inside and outside the organisation. 

A full driving licence is considered essential as capability to travel across the Force is required in order to undertake assignments in a timely manner and work flexibly. 

Along with all other posts in Force Crime, Intelligence and Specialist Operations Departments, this role will require an enhanced level of vetting.  

The successful applicant will be expected to undertake the established psychological screening process.
