The role 

Joining an established, confident team that is at the hub to delivering IT change across two Police Forces. You will be the central point of contact for programme & project management knowledge, making sure that all initiatives are delivered to time, cost & quality measures. This is achieved through the use of standardised reporting and automated toolsets, predominantly MS office based. Furthermore, you will provide analysis and early warning of the portfolio ensuring recommendations are fed into Senior Management for further action. As a confident facilitator you’ll be responsible for running Lessons Learned and Assurance reviews on all projects with a wide range of stakeholders.

 

The essentials:

  • Experience of Portfolio, Project and Programme coordination, governance and assurance (PMO), within a structured project management framework.
  • Good knowledge and understanding in the management of Technical ICT Programme and Project Management using an industry recognised approach such as PRINCE 2.
  • Exceptional Excel skills, to include the ability to build complex Spreadsheets and reports for analysing data and presenting to SMT.
  • Good understanding of document control using MS SharePoint.
  • Well organised with good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt communication styles to the audience and be able to constructively challenge all levels of Project resource.
  • Must have capability to travel to different locations across Thames Valley Police and Hampshire Constabulary. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
