As a Principal Developer you will be part of a team responsible for the development of software applications and supporting the delivery into the live environment using modern technologies. You will be required to work with the wider ICT and operational policing departments to deliver quality solutions in line with business requirements. We recognise that professional progress is important and in this role, you will have the opportunity for continuous development.

You will get exposure to working with a variety of software platforms and languages including Azure, Android and MS Dynamics TSQL.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience as a full stack software developer and systems designer of complex IT developments from initial concept through development and implementation to operation and support.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring developers, through peer reviews of code, component designs and documents to ensure quality component delivery.
  • Expertise in the technical delivery of solutions during the software development lifecycle whilst adhering to local and industry development standards.
