Chiltern Transport Consortium provides a cross-border shared service and all fleet support functions for 5 police forces over 6 shire counties covering Thames Valley, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Civil Nuclear Constabulary and Hertfordshire. It’s an innovative and successful initiative that continues to provide these forces with a performance-led fleet service.

We are now looking for a Fleet Manager who will provide the day to day overall control of the CTC vehicle fleet (under the direction and supervision of the Head of CTC), this will include performance and budget monitoring, fleet procurement and staff management.

You will have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification or experience in Car Fleet Management with experience of motor vehicle engineering. A qualification or proven experience in senior management e.g. budget management, business planning, performance management, business continuity, health and safety is required along with demonstrable effective leadership and the ability to lead and manage diverse teams. Experienced in building partnerships and working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is essential. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and have experience of fleet logistic and reporting packages such as Tranman, Artemis, Seagate Crystal. A full driving licence is considered essential as capability to travel across the CTC member Forces is required in order to undertake assignments in a timely manner and work flexibly. Membership of an appropriate and recognised body such as ICFM, CILT, SOE, IMI, CMI is required.
