Applications are invited from substantive Detective Constables for the post of DC Technical Operations Planning Officer within Counter Terrorism Policing South East

As a Technical Operations Planner you will provide technical solutions and assist with deployments in support of covert National Security Operations.

The successful applicant will work with technical officers to conduct feasibility studies and devise best solution to operational difficulties, thereby supporting the SIOs investigative strategy. You will also provide management, leadership and coordination to technical deployments, ensuring best practice and oversight

Applicants must provide evidence of having proven experience in Counter Terrorism or other relevant experience and understanding of covert operations.

Applicants will regularly deal with external organisations and must be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving skills and high levels of communication and presentational skills. Evidence of attention to detail and high quality of written work is essential.

Applicants must be able to evidence a high level of discretion, integrity and the ability to work in the National Security arena.

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the south east. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. You must be prepared to undergo developed vetting.
