Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTP SE) welcome applications from substantive Constables and Detective Constables for an exciting opportunity to join our Intelligence Management Unit (FIMU).

CTP SE offers a unique role at the heart of counter terrorism investigations for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to participate in a critical aspect of this area of policing. In addition to the routine receipt and assessment of intelligence, staff in the IMU are required to undertake a number of other functions in relation to the management of intelligence for live operations across the South East.

Officers will be provided the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and experience by rotating into the Fixed Intelligence Unit (FIMU) after 12 – 18 months.

You will have proven operational / intelligence experience involving complex crime investigations. You will have ability to gather information / intelligence to inform decision making. Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to Developed Vetting (DV) level. Furthermore, due to the nature and sensitivity of work carried out we require that candidates not only hold this vetting level but that they also undertake additional security clearances which include additional nationality checks. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals. This is line with government requirements, supported by Cabinet Office policy and Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), and is for the purpose of safeguarding national security, to ensure that any potential vulnerabilities are identified at an early stage

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the south east. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. The post holder will be required to perform on call arrangements for immediate response as required.
