An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Intelligence Analyst to join our Regional Intelligence Unit (RIB), part of the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU).

In this role you will provide high level analytical support to the RIB. You will assist in the prevention, targeting, disruption and detection of crime.

You will use analytical techniques to create intelligence products to inform relevant strategic and tactical planning to the standard defined within the National Intelligence Model (NIM).

You will provide an efficient and effective analytical service for the RIB, producing National Intelligence Model knowledge products and analytical techniques to inform relevant strategic and tactical planning in relation to regional organised crime activity.

You will have a relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience and knowledge of the NIM. You will also have excellent communication and research skills with the ability to problem solve. Excellent IT skills and experience of preparing and conducting presentations and briefings are also essential to the role.

Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to enhanced level. Furthermore, due to the nature and sensitivity of work carried out we require that candidates not only hold this vetting level but that they also undertake additional security clearances which include additional nationality checks. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals. This is line with government requirements, supported by Cabinet Office policy and Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), and is for the purpose of safeguarding national security, to ensure that any potential vulnerabilities are identified at an early stage.

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the south east. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home.
