We welcome applications from substantive Constables for an exciting opportunity to join our Regional Economic Crime Unit (RECU). 

The Regional Economic Crime Unit (RECU) comprises a number of teams performing different functions to disrupt Serious and Organised Crime by way of economic crime investigation and asset denial.

The role holder of this post will be based in the Financial Investigation Support Team, and will support SE ROCU Investigation Teams, by conducting Financial Investigation, POCA civil proceedings (Cash seizures etc) and confiscation investigations.

The successful applicant will undertake proactive and reactive financial and money laundering investigations in accordance with the objectives of the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU).

Based within the RECU, the role holder will conduct both stand-alone POCA investigations as well as provide financial investigative support to the most complex cases held by SE ROCU capabilities.

Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to SC Enhanced level.  In line with Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), candidates who fail to hold, acquire or maintain this vetting level cannot be offered the post.
