Thames Valley Police
As the Director of Digital Transformation you will provide strategic leadership for the development and delivery of a comprehensive digital strategy across both Forces, acting as the principal digital lead and ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and national policing direction. It requires representing the Forces at local, regional, and national levels within a complex multi‑agency environment, ensuring the digital agenda is effectively championed and embedded within all strategic decision‑making. The post‑holder is responsible for overseeing the implementation and long‑term adoption of digital capabilities, planning and coordinating delivery across a five‑year horizon, and managing a substantial programme budget of approximately £42m. The role demands an innovative and adaptive approach to ensure the strategy reflects emerging technologies, evolving ethical considerations—such as those relating to artificial intelligence—and the changing operational needs of both Forces. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and national policing bodies, the post‑holder ensures that digital transformation is coherently shaped, well‑governed, and effectively embedded across the organisation.
