We are looking for three Detective Constables to join our team to undertake proactive and reactive investigations in relation to terrorism and extremist criminal activity.

You will conduct interviews of suspects, or witnesses gathering evidence in order to eliminate them from our enquiries, or to assess their involvement in the offence under investigation utilising TACT/PACE legislation. You will demonstrate a high level of integrity whilst gathering evidence and dealing with witnesses. You will assist with the preparation of evidential prosecution files for review by the CPS and managing Disclosure. Please refer to the Job Description (enclosed with the advert) for further details of role, knowledge, skill and experience requirements.

Furthermore, due to the nature and sensitivity of work carried out we require that candidates not only hold this vetting level but that they also undertake additional security clearances which include additional nationality checks. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals. This is line with government requirements, supported by Cabinet Office policy and Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), and is for the purpose of safeguarding national security, to ensure that any potential vulnerabilities are identified at an early stage

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the south east. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home.

Applications must be submitted by the closing date of 6th May 2019.
