An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Intelligence Analyst to join our Intelligence team, part of the Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTP SE).

Working for CTP SE is a job like no other. You will be working with teams which cover an extensive patch stretching over five police forces and tackle the most serious crime. Despite the scale of the geography there is a real one-team ethos and plenty of opportunity for development within the unit.

In this role you will provide specialist supervision encompassing regular independent reviews of work and the development of skill profiles of a Research and Analysis team. You will regularly engage with and provide specialist advice to Senior Officers to solve problems, assess and mitigate threat, risk and harm. The post holder will contribute to the identification, development and application of analytical techniques embracing the concept of best practice and encouraging innovation.

The successful applicant will have substantial current role-related experience as an analyst in a police or partnership agency environment with excellent understanding of the National Intelligence Model.

CTP SE is committed to becoming the most diverse team in the South East. We encourage interest and applications from candidates of all backgrounds and particularly welcome applications from female and BAME (black, Asian and minority ethic) candidates to enable us to truly reflect the communities we serve.

Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to Developed Vetting level. Furthermore, due to the nature and sensitivity of work carried out we require that candidates not only hold this vetting level but that they also undertake additional security clearances which include additional nationality checks. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals. This is line with government requirements, supported by Cabinet Office policy and Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), and is for the purpose of safeguarding national security, to ensure that any potential vulnerabilities are identified at an early stage.
