We are looking for a dynamic Administrative Support Officer to join our Regional Counter Terrorism Unit (CTP SE). Working as part of a team, the successful candidate will manage, oversee and provide confidential secretarial services to the Senior Leadership Team, in conjunction with the provision of a comprehensive and flexible administrative support function.

A confident communicator, with an aptitude to deal with various levels of internal and external customers, proven time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and manage a varied workload. 

The successful candidate will complete often sensitive and confidential tasks including: minute taking, report writing, diary management to include effective timetabling and co-ordination of activities and events.

We are looking for a candidate who is proactive in the development of processes to meet the business need with excellent organisational and secretarial skills, with a good standard of education, excellent literacy and numeric skills, and the ability to take minutes with good verbal and written communication skills. 

Proven interpersonal skills are essential together with the ability to promote professional working relationships with personnel at all levels. Recent experience of working in an environment where discretion, tact and diplomacy, initiative, and flexibility are required is beneficial along with a willingness to learn and embrace new ways of working/technology.

On occasions this role will be required to travel to various locations across the South East Region for business purposes. A full UK driving licence is required.  You may be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational requirements and this role is predominantly office based. 

Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC.  In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.
