This role provides an exciting opportunity to be a senior architect within a dynamic organisation, where you will be responsible for ensuring that the business receives architecturally compliant strategy, designs and processes.

A good breadth of software, applications, data and infrastructure experience is essential, as you will be responsible for detailed design and enabling the transition into live operation of critical business systems.

You will be an enthusiastic individual who is able to take on leadership responsibilities within a senior architecture role and who works well with the wider team and organisation, as well as with external vendors and deployment partners.

In return for your extensive knowledge of modern ICT technologies, you will receive exposure to many exciting technologies, including Microsoft 365; Public Cloud (Azure and AWS IaaS, PaaS and SaaS); Artificial Intelligence; Robotic Process Automation; Network Modernisation and Digital Policing initiatives.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • The added value that your experience as a senior architect will bring to the strategy and architecture team, and more widely to the forces.
  • A proven background as a senior architect, with significant experience gained in architecture roles in secure environments with higher sensitivity applications.
  • Knowledge and experience of modern application architecture, data and integration, secure communication between multiple systems, including cloud and hybrid cloud technologies such as PaaS, microservices and loose coupling via service bus.
  • Experience with identity and access management, including an understanding of Single Sign-On and identity federation.
