In this role, through the provision of high quality research and development packages, you will be required to identify, collate, research, develop, assess, review, and present information from a wide range of sources in support of intelligence operations or investigations. You will carry out research and developmental activity, to develop intelligence in line with set priorities and operational objectives as per NSIM (National Standards of Intelligence Management) guidelines.

You will prepare, present and supply information and findings in an appropriate product (report / maps / charts / data visualisation / infographics) to inform decision makers / stakeholders at various levels within the organisation and identify the audiences for the product and the aspects of the product that should be presented and select the most effective dissemination methods. 

You will provide support to operations through the provision of intelligence research and development in an intelligence cell, Fusion cell, or CT Police Operations Room environment (completing & maintaining training and ICT access where required).  Providing support, through undertaking any other duties within your capability, to spontaneous / critical / major incidents or events as directed.

The successful candidate will have recent and relevant experience within an intelligence environment or otherwise demonstrated the technical and behavioural competence to conduct high quality research. Good knowledge of the intelligence process and cycle, including NIM. You will have proven experience in collating and assessing information and making concise and accurate recommendations based on assessments.

The post holder (for Intelligence Management Function and CT Border Policing roles) may be required to work shifts including weekend working which will be remunerated accordingly.  On occasion the post holder may be required to work additional flexible hours or at a different location to suit operational requirements. The successful candidate will be vetted to a Developed Vetting (DV) level.

For the purposes of safeguarding national security, applicants who do not hold or acquire the appropriate security clearances (which may include STRAP) and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals. As such, in line with Cabinet Office Policy, supported by Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), applicants who do not hold or acquire Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post.

Positions are available Near M4 Junction 12, at Gatwick within Borders Policing or Near Gatwick in Intelligence Management, please clearly state your preferred location. Interviews are expected to be held during the week commencing 11th March.
