The Major Crime Unit deal with the most serious investigations and their work is subject to the scrutiny of the highest courts in the land. The principal duties of a PEO include the management of all items of property seized in the course of a major investigation, recording the details onto the HOLMES computer application, storage of the property in a suitable, secure location and to ensure that each item is considered for evidential value and investigative opportunities.

You will be required to ensure the integrity of each exhibit is maintained and continuity is present as required. You will be expected to receive or collect exhibits from various locations, creating records on the HOLMES computer system recording the movements of each item.
