An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cyber Hi Tech Investigator to join our E-Forensics team, part of the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) supporting the Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSEA) investigation team

You will work within a highly skilled team to conduct forensic examinations both within a recently ISO accredited lab environment and out and about across the region. This will be to assist in the detection of the most serious incidents being investigated by the SEROCU with a primary focus on assisting the CSEA team. The E-Forensic makes use of the most cutting edge methods available to recover digital evidence from as many sources as possible including vehicles, drones, networks as well as mobile devices and computers and continues to be nationally recognised for its work. Please be aware you will frequently be exposed to indecent and extreme images within this role and you will be required to have regular psychological screening.

You will be a good communicator, confident and assertive and able to deal with people at all levels. You will have good written skills and previous experience of provision of statistical information, with a methodical approach an ability to analyse and produce solutions to problems. You will have foundation knowledge and experience of a wide range of computer hardware/digital devices. The successful applicant will also be willing to make decisions often when working alone and under pressure, taking full responsibility of own actions.

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the south east. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. You must be prepared to be security cleared to an enhanced level.
