The Role

This role is being introduced as part of the wider temporary Equip Interim Business Systems Team. This is a temporary role to assist with the implementation of the Equip System across all three Forces, creating and leading a function of support Analysts who will be responsible for frontline functional support. This role is being introduced prior to the launch of the Equip system as the role holder will be heavily involved in the setup of the support function, which will include identifying the key responsibilities of the function, what the wider business requires and recruitment of the Support Analysts when applicable.

Key Responsibilities

The role holder will lead a team of first line Support Analysts for the Equip solution based on MS D365, including mentoring, supporting development and performance. The role will also be heavily customer service focused and will act as the escalation point of complex functional queries. The Lead Support Analyst will also be required to ensure processes and procedures are adhered to and will be responsible for the management and escalation of any security breaches.

Skill and experience

In order to be successful for the role, the applicant will be required to have previous customer service experience within an IT environment as well a previous Line Management experience. The role holder will be required to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and have excellent problem solving skills.

The post holder will have excellent knowledge of ICT Service Management as problem solving will be a key requirement of the role.

Additional Information

There will be a requirement to travel and work across all three Forces. For the interim period, the team will initially be based at Guildford Police Station, however role holders will have the ability to work flexibly across Guildford, Lewes and Kidlington in line with activity requirements. Latterly, the base location will move to Kidlington in line with the TVP launch, which is estimated to take place at a later date post SY/SX launch. Therefore the post holder will need to be generally flexible in their working approach.

This post is being advertised in parallel with Force redeployment processes. Any redeployees who are identified will be given preference. This may result in the post being withdrawn at any point during the recruitment process.

If you are an internal candidate looking to apply for this role, please ensure that you discuss your application with your line manager before submitting an application. If you are conditionally offered the role your attendance record and any reasonable adjustments already in place will be discussed with yourself and your current line manager. If you are successful in your application, you may be required to resign and transfer your employment, taking on the Terms & Conditions and pay scales of the Lead Force (if this is not your existing Home Force).
