As a Holmes Reader/Receiver with CTPSE you will be working as part of the Investigations Team who are responsible for the investigation and prosecution of those suspected of committing offences under Terrorism legislation.

The Holmes Reader/Receiver works within the Major Incident Room (MIR) and is responsible Reading & Receiving all material coming into the MIR, identifying priority lines of enquiry and tasking Holmes Indexers with information that should be entered onto the Holmes database. You will work under the direction of the MIR Office Manager.

Current Version 16 Holmes experience is required along with a proven investigative background preferably with a Major Crime Department and be able to show experience in large or complex investigations. The applicant should be able to demonstrate an eye for detail, be confident to challenge and offer alternative suggestions. Successful applicants who are not Holmes trained will be expected to attend a Holmes Course which may be out of the Force area.

This post will sometimes require the applicant to travel across the South East region and therefore you will need to hold a clean Full UK Driving licence and have your driving assessed to be able use pool vehicles.

Please ensure your application is supported by your line manager, Department Head and Local or Force HR.  For police staff who are employed with Hampshire Police, please submit an AD277 form via Hampshire Police to ensure yided in the UK for the past five years for Security Clearance (SC) and ten years for Developed Vetting (DV)  You will be required to successfully pass and maintain the relevant security clearance in order to perform the role.
