Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) is a collaboration of the five South East police forces, and works with the UK Intelligence community to help protect the public and our national security.

The CTPSE Training Team are looking for a full time Regional Trainer, which is led by the Regional Training and Development Coordinator and falls under the Protect & Prepare work stream of the CONTEST strategy.

The Regional Trainer role is to plan, prepare and deliver CT training in line with the College of Policing Standards as well as facilitating opportunities for learning and personal development in accordance with CTP SE and NCPP National Training and Development Policy.

The successful candidate will have previously worked in a training environment and have experience of coaching or teaching groups. They will be able to work on their own initiative and have recent experience of undertaking problem solving.

They will be expected to converse at a senior level and ensure that relevant processes and protocols are followed.It is desirable for the successful candidate to have a good understanding of current best practice in the Counter Terrorism training field however this is not essential. It would also be desirable for the successful candidate to possess an acceptable training qualification, such as a Level 3 Award in Education & Training.

It is essential that you have the flexibility to travel across the UK as the need arises, and therefore a UK driving licence is essential.

Security is of paramount importance to us due to the nature of the role. You need to be a British National and resided in the UK for the past five years for Security Clearance (SC) and ten years for Developed Vetting (DV)  You will be required to successfully pass and maintain the relevant security clearance in order to perform the role.
