We welcome applications for a full time Specialist Investigator opportunity with Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) Investigations.

This is an exciting opportunity where you will co-ordinate and support major/ sensitive investigations, gathering evidence and intelligence in support of investigative strategy.

The successful candidate will develop maintain effective working relationships with collaborative forces and other partner agencies across the South East region. 

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will have some experience as an effective Investigator and have excellent communication/interpersonal skills.

Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to SC Enhanced (SC + MV) and potentially Developed Vetting (DV) level.  Furthermore, due to the nature and sensitivity of work carried out we require that candidates not only hold this vetting level but that they also undertake additional security clearances which include additional nationality checks. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals.  This is line with government requirements, supported by Cabinet Office policy and Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), and is for purposes safeguarding national security, to ensure that any potential vulnerabilities are identified at an early stage.

This role requires applicants to have PIP2 accreditation.

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence.

This post requires occasional travel across the South East region and the UK. Security is of paramount importance to us due to the nature of the role. You need to be a British National and resided in the UK for the past five years for Security Clearance (SC) and ten years for Developed Vetting (DV)  You will be required to successfully pass and maintain the relevant security clearance in order to perform the role.
