In this role, you will have responsibility for the survey, maintenance, repair and replacement of electrical services installations and systems within Thames Valley buildings. You will implement and manage the servicing and maintenance contracts, demonstrating an understanding of the complexity between new systems working in parallel with older existing installations. You will prepare electrical specifications for planned new works and maintenance contracts, ensuring their compliance with relevant health and safety regulations. You will have responsibility for tendering, appointment, supervision and quality assurance of the activities of consultants and contractors ensuring their work is completed to the required quality standards. 

You will have a recognised qualification in a building services engineering discipline e.g. BTEC, HNC or HND in Electrical Services or equivalent experience, have a broad in-depth knowledge of a wide range of electrical services disciplines and have experience of managing projects and maintenance of electrical services installations within occupied buildings. You will have experience of responsibility for planning and implementing complex programmes of maintenance works. A good knowledge of all forms of legislation and regulations relating to building engineering services is essential together with experience of working with consultants and managing contractors, setting a high standard of technical service delivery and monitoring performance. You will be competent in Microsoft Office applications and fully conversant with health and safety legislation. A full UK driving licence is essential in order to travel to different locations across the Force.
