In this new and exciting role you will support the Community Policing Senior Management Team in the development and delivery of the prevention strategy across a range of portfolios in order to facilitate the ongoing transformation of Community Policing services and working with stakeholders both locally and regionally. This role will also provide structure and support the overall governance TVP plans in respect of retail crime, ASB, serious violence and preventative work. The role is focused on crime reduction for key areas, such as leading the Designing Out Crime Officers, embedding a culture of prevention and overseeing relevant projects such as Op Rasure.

The successful applicant will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject and/or equivalent experience and/or relevant qualifications and have very good knowledge of the workings of a police force or similar organisation with experience of working effectively across departments.  Strong interpersonal communication skills are required whilst being able to build effective relationships and negotiation with multiple stakeholders.  You will have a high degree of computer literacy which will include excellent Microsoft application skills; proven ability to manipulate data from a variety of sources and databases and willing to learn new technology, databases and systems.
