Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) is a collaboration of the five South East police forces, and works with the UK Intelligence community to help protect the public and our national security by preventing. Deterring and investigation terrorist activity.

Acting as a single point of contact for CTP SE Information Communication technology (ICT) security issues, you will advise on ICT Security matters and co-ordinate ICT security. You will ensure the effective implementation of ICT Security policy across CTP SE. Act as SPOC for all data breaches (GDPR), liaising with the relevant DPO and Manage Information Security Assurance processes.

You will deliver an efficient ICT security regime in order to maintain the integrity of the CTPSE data assets and protect national security.  You will also act as a SPOC for data breaches in CTPSE, liaising with local force Data Protection Officers (DPOs) where necessary. 

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills and good experience in the application of ICT Security.  Due the nature of the role, experience of Cloud Based Security Management is essential to the role. The successful candidate will be a member of a recognised information management or IT security body. 

This role requires a full UK driving licence. The post holder will need on occasion to work unsocial hours and take part in an on call duty rota in relation to critical IT systems.

Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to Developed Vetting (DV) level.  Furthermore, due to the nature and sensitivity of work carried out we require that candidates not only hold this vetting level but that they also undertake additional security clearances which include additional nationality checks. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals.  This is line with government requirements, supported by Cabinet Office policy and Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), and is for the purpose of safeguarding national security, to ensure that any potential vulnerabilities are identified at an early stage.
