In this role, you will provide an effective storage and logistic service to both Thames Valley Police and Hampshire Constabulary, including retention and disposal of records (exhibits, paper, media and frozen samples) and other archived force assets.

 

The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, be IT literate with excellent customer service skills, paying attention to detail and deadlines.  A high degree of integrity and trust is required, as you will be dealing with sensitive and classified information.  Experience of using warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks, mobile steps etc. is essential along with warehouse or stores experience.  It is essential that you have experience of driving forklift (reach) trucks, with experience of driving vehicles up to 7.5 tonne gross weight desirable (training can be given).  The ability to operate within narrow aisle shelving and at a height of up to 4 meters is essential. This is a physical role, so the ability to lift and carry multiple cartons per day up to 20kg and move trollies and pallets between 100-1000kg (using appropriate equipment) is essential.
