This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team leading the response to serious and organised crime in the South East region. You will work as part of the Serious and Organised Crime network, with colleagues from across the four south east regional Police Forces, the nine different ROCUs, the Network Operations Capability and the NCA.

You provide high quality research and development packages, identify, collate, research, assess, review and present information and intelligence from a wide range of sources on identified individuals and organisations. You will assist in the preparation and presentation of a variety of intelligence or evidential packages relating to the investigation of CSE and other high harm areas of policing.

You will have recent and relevant experience within an intelligence environment and experience of research. You will have proven experience in collating and assessing information to make concise and accurate recommendations based on assessments. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential to the role.

Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to enhanced level. Furthermore, due to the nature and sensitivity of work carried out we require that candidates not only hold this vetting level but that they also undertake additional security clearances which include additional nationality checks. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals. This is line with government requirements, supported by Cabinet Office policy and Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), and is for the purpose of safeguarding national security, to ensure that any potential vulnerabilities are identified at an early stage.

Due to the nature of the role psychological screening will be required.

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the south east. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home.
