This is a new opportunity for a Regional People Support to be part of our Business Support Team, supporting two specialist regional units that protect communities from the threats of serious organised crime, terrorism and domestic extremism.

As Regional People Support you will provide comprehensive HR administrative support to the regional units, providing initial guidance and signposting for a broad range of HR matters, particularly on recruitment. The successful candidate will have proven administrative experience, ideally in a relevant HR field, and you will be committed to ongoing continual professional development.

This will include administering recruitment campaigns, managing and responding to queries from hiring managers and applicants. You will create agreed vacancies on relevant systems, assist with the designing and publishing of adverts internally and externally, organise interviews and pro-actively manage applicants through the recruitment process. You will accurately input HR data into systems in support of various HR processes, and assist with specific projects and initiatives involving collation and analysis of data, or the organisation of events or meetings.

With a good standard of education, the successful candidate will be committed to continued professional development, having attained or being willing to work towards achieving a Level 3 CIPD Qualification. You will have proven administrative skills, ideally with experience following and contributing to standard operating procedures and of managing personal / sensitive information in a professional manner.

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may occasionally be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand.

For the purposes of safeguarding national security, applicants who do not hold or acquire appropriate security clearance and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post.
