Police Constable CT Nominal Management (CTNM) (CTPSE)
We welcome applications from substantive Police Constables to assist our Nominal Management team as a CT Nominal Management Manager (CTNM).
This team has arisen through Project Semper, which has set out to deliver a number of changes to the ways in which the CT Policing network and its partners approach Nominal Management. The aim is to move away from being an activity that is carried out in different ways across the network, towards being a capability that is subject to a singular governance structure that delivers enhanced outcomes by adopting consistent and cohesive ways of working.
In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day overt active management of identified nominals within the region, in partnership with others. This means that you will ensure inter-departmental liaison and the management of tasking. You will also be responsible for ensuring the efficient use of resources, in order to provide an effective service regionally and, where applicable, nationally.
To be successful in this role you will have a comprehensive police intelligence and / or investigative background (PIP 2 accredited is desirable). You will also need to have some experience of managing sensitive and confidential information, with experience of managing risk. We also seek someone with excellent communication skills, who can work in partnership to creatively problem solve.
Please note that this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK. Therefore, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence.
Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary for the successful candidate to obtain and maintain vetting level DV together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past ten years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.
You can find more information about security vetting here.
