This is a fantastic opportunity where you will co-ordinate comprehensive and confidential financial, administrative and systems support to a discrete function within Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTP SE).

You will manage procedures and processes to ensure the efficient use of budgets, utilising best practice and identifying areas for improvement. You will also maintain and manage the CTPSE covert bank accounts including monthly reconciliations and liaise with Financial Institutions in order to ensure the integrity of the unit and the safety of its officers and clients

You will maintain effective liaison and develop efficient working practices with partner agencies, working closely with them to maintain budgets relating to Covert Human Intelligence Sources.

You will have excellent communication/interpersonal, problem-solving, literacy and numeracy skills with a good standard of education. You will significant administrative experience and working towards or have already attained the AAT qualification. You will have proven experience to deal with financial practices and budgetary processes and managing accounts including cash handling and banking.

Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to Developed Vetting (DV) level. Furthermore, due to the nature and sensitivity of work carried out we require that candidates not only hold this vetting level but that they also undertake additional security clearances which include additional nationality checks. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals. This is line with government requirements, supported by Cabinet Office policy and Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), and is for the purpose of safeguarding national security, to ensure that any potential vulnerabilities are identified at an early stage.

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the south east. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. For this reason a full UK Driving Licence is essential to the role.
