In this role you will supervise a team of Investigative Skills trainers to provide a Forcewide specialist capability that enables the efficient and effective delivery of investigative skills training. Design, schedule, implement, deliver, assess and evaluate training programmes for employees of Thames Valley Police and other regional Forces in line with organisational and operational requirements. This will include:

 

  • Proactive day to day management of the Delivery Plan and Trainer Allocation
  • Making informed decisions and problem solving on a daily basis
  • Ensuring Courses are adequately staffed and equipped at each training location
  • Ensuring all training commitments are met through effective planning
  • Effective performance management including absence, CPD and PDR process

 You will have significant management/supervisory experience with proven commitment to continued professional development and the development of staff, able to lead, manage and motivate using sensitivity to persuade and influence others to achieve a satisfactory outcome. You will also be PIP2 accredited (or equivalent experience) and attained QCF Level 3 certificates in L & D (training will be provided if necessary to achieve this) Proven ability to communicate ideas and information effectively and work on own initiative with recent experience in the provision of accurate data is essential.

Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
