We are looking for an Intelligence Support Officer to join our Regional Intelligence Bureau Unit (RIB), part of the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU).

You will provide an efficient and effective administrative support service to the RIB in the SEROCU. You will research, compile and present information as required using Force information and intelligence systems. You will disseminate information in the appropriate manner to relevant organisation, department and/or individuals, whilst maintaining the required confidentiality, sensitively and duty of care.

You will collect and collate relevant performance information from the various elements that make up the RIB and report to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to enable accountability around performance to take place

The successful candidate will have a good standard of education or equivalent experience in administrative support. You will be IT literate and will have effective written and verbal communication and customer service skills. You will have the ability to demonstrate high levels of personal organisational used to collate and prepare data for scrutiny.

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the south east. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. You must be prepared to be security cleared to an enhanced level.

For the purposes of safeguarding national security, applicants who do not hold or acquire the appropriate security clearances (which may include STRAP) and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals. As such, in line with Cabinet Office Policy, supported by Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), applicants who do not hold or acquire Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post.
