INTERNAL/EXTERNAL VACANCY

In this role you will be expected to provide a comprehensive and flexible administrative support and confidential secretarial service to the Governance, and Service Improvement Department with particular responsibility for supporting the Head of Department and senior staff. Diary management and effective timetabling of activities is required, together with preparing files for meetings and taking minutes. The role is pivotal to the effective co-ordination of the department, including making the logistical arrangement for both departmental and force level meetings and proving support across departmental functions.

You will be a confident communicator at all levels with a good standard of education, including excellent literacy and numeric skills. You will also have proven interpersonal and problem solving skills and the ability to promote professional working relationships. The ability to work to deadlines whilst managing a substantial workload is essential. You will be IT literate in Microsoft applications. A full driving licence is considered essential as capability to travel across the Force is required in order to undertake assignments in a timely manner and work flexibly.
