INTERNAL/EXTERNAL VACANCY

Location is Kidlington/Remote Working.

This exciting and demanding role will place you at the heart of Thames Valley Police’s drive for learning, Service Improvement and efficiency and effectiveness. 

In this role you will be part of a highly engaged team of investigators completing Individual Management Reviews which form part of the process for Domestic Homicide Reviews, Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews, Safeguarding Adult Reviews and MAPPA Reviews. You will also have the flexibility to perform rapid responses to produce chronologies of the most serious crime the Force experiences. 

The post holder will also participate in Service Improvement Reviews that support all areas of policing from front line operational to specialist commands and core departmental functions essential for delivering policing and serving the public. Being able to work across the Force and conduct in-depth investigation audit will compliment this challenging yet rewarding opportunity. 

You will have recent and proven ability to carry out investigative and evidential enquiries as an effective investigator and be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels. You will have the ability to recognise and handle sensitive information, maintain discretion and confidentiality, acting always in a balanced and professional manner. You will be self-motivated with a flexible approach in terms of working times and have the ability to cope with pressure to meet deadlines. An effective working knowledge and experience of Protecting Vulnerable People investigation and processes is required together with experience of preparing detailed written reports. 

We are asking for PIP 2 current accreditation or previously PIP 2 accredited. 

This role requires an enhanced level of vetting.

Vetting.  All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice.
