We are looking for Facilities and Security Supervisors to join our Protect and Prepare team, part of Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTP SE). We have one opportunity based near Gatwick.

You will supervise the building, facilities, security staff and functions in accordance with the high mandatory CT security standards. You will operate, oversee and maintain the biometric and access systems ensuring that staff and visitors are safely managed, whilst also overseeing the facilities contract arrangements.

You will have experience in a similar security officer role of managing sensitive/secure sites with a good understanding of best practice. Knowledge of telecommunications, CCTV and security systems is essential, and you will have experience of managing the performance of others.

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the south east. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. You must be prepared to be security cleared to an enhanced vetting.

For the purposes of safeguarding national security, applicants who do not hold or acquire the appropriate security clearances (which may include STRAP) and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals. As such, in line with Cabinet Office Policy, supported by Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), applicants who do not hold or acquire Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post.

If you meet the Essential criteria, or believe you have the potential to do so, then we want to hear from you.
