We welcome applications from police constables for an exciting opportunity to join Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTP SE) as a Human Intelligence Targeting Officer (HUMINT).

In this exciting role, assist with the co-ordination of the targeting, recruitment and case development of national security CHIS activity within the South East region. You will work alongside Security Service and other key intelligence partners.

You will provide a dedicated regional intelligence development resource to enhance the recruitment, profiling and tasking of national security CHIS

You will have excellent communication skills including reporting writing and the ability to work under pressure.

Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to Developed Vetting (DV) level. Furthermore, due to the nature and sensitivity of work carried out we require that candidates not only hold this vetting level but that they also undertake additional security clearances which include additional nationality checks. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals. This is line with government requirements, supported by Cabinet Office policy and Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), and is for the purpose of safeguarding national security, to ensure that any potential vulnerabilities are identified at an early stage.

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the south east. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home.

Officers will need to complete the Recommendation for Appointment form (enclosed with the advert) and upload a copy of their Training Record and PDR or CPD record. Hampshire officers need to complete an AD277 alongside their application.
