An opportunity has arisen for a CTSA Manager to work within CT Policing South East. You will have responsibility for reducing the vulnerability to and impact of terrorism within the South East by managing and supervising a team of CTSA (Counter Terrorism Security Advisers), ensuring efficient operational activity, tasking and performance.

The post holder will supervise, support and develop staff to ensure a balanced skill set for regional resilience. You will quality assure CTSA surveys and reports to ensure they meet national standards and that HSS site owners/operators comply with their relevant statutory obligations.  You will provide specialist advice to operational commanders regarding local or specific vulnerabilities in the event of an increase in the UK threat levels and/or a confirmed or suspected terrorist incident.

The successful applicant will be educated to ‘A’ level (or equivalent), or with substantial, proven and well  evidenced experience of working within a protective security environment; coupled with demonstrable experience in counter terrorism or intelligence. You will have good team working and problem solving skills and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the threat from, and current affairs in, terrorism and extremism, current terrorist methodology and the police response to those threats.

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence, and be expected to travel across the South East and further afield if deemed necessary.

Security is of paramount importance to us due to the nature of the role. You need to be a British National and resided in the UK for the past five years for Security Clearance (SC) and ten years for Developed Vetting (DV)  You will be required to successfully pass and maintain the relevant security clearance in order to perform the role.
