This role provides an exciting opportunity to be an Application Developer within a dynamic organisation where you will be responsible for ensuring that the business receives modern solutions to enhance policing.

 

You will be part of a team working alongside the wider IT department responsible for the development of software applications and supporting the delivery into the live environment. You will deliver quality solutions in line with business requirements and enhancements to existing applications as part of lifecycle management. We recognise that professional progress is important and in this role, you will have the opportunity for continuous development.

 

You will get exposure to working with a variety of software platforms and languages including .NET, C#, Android and Azure.

 

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in application development methods, techniques and standards, organised and documented sets of techniques.
  • Knowledgeable in the technical delivery of solutions during the software development lifecycle and the application and adherence to local and industry development standards.
  • Familiar with database software which enables the user to create, populate and manipulate data structures including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL.
