Senior Management Information Researcher
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Management Information Researcher in the Service Improvement Unit at Thames Valley Police.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of management information that supports high-level decision-making within the Force and is shared with key external stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring that all information provided meets statutory obligations and adheres to established data-sharing protocols. Your keen attention to detail and critical thinking will be essential in managing data requests and producing relevant, timely reports.
In this role, you will oversee the submission of statutory data returns, manage data sharing processes with partner agencies, and liaise with the media to ensure that data is reported accurately and meaningfully. You will be responsible for generating daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports that inform key performance metrics and ensure compliance with external reporting requirements to bodies such as the Home Office and Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services (HMICFRS).
In addition to your research responsibilities, you will deputise for the Management Information and Statistical Services Manager, offering support and mentorship to a team of researchers and ensuring the smooth operation of the unit. Your work will involve close collaboration with various departments, maintaining a high level of technical expertise in data systems, and ensuring that our data reporting tools meet the evolving needs of the Force.

Vetting. All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice. The residency requirement is necessary to enable all applicants to be checked in an equitable manner.
