Financial Investigation and Asset Recovery comprises a number of teams performing different functions to disrupt the most Serious and Organised Crime by way of economic crime investigation and asset denial.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Civil Recovery team, utilising new Proceeds of Crime Act Legislation (Property Freezing Orders, Unexplained Wealth Orders etc) and working in partnership with the Crown Prosecution Service.

The successful candidate will undertake challenging civil investigations into high value criminal assets in order to recover them in the High Court.

It will require the post holder to have proven investigation skills in order to trace the derivation of assets, prepare case files and write detailed reports and present evidence in court.

We are seeking candidates with excellent oral and written communications skills who can develop partnerships and collaborate with investigators, Lawyers and Barristers. Candidates should also have a strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Candidates must be self-motivated, well organised (preparing case files and dealing with large volumes of material), and be prepared to work on lengthy complex investigations.

Unless already fully accredited as a Financial Investigator (FIO, FI, Confiscator, CRiSP, Restraint, S.47), the post holder will be required to complete the relevant entrants exam and training, and thereafter submit the respective PDP to attain full accreditation with the NCA Proceeds of Crime Centre (PoCC).

Please note that this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK. Therefore, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence.

Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC.  In order to achieve this, you must have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.
