The Action Fraud Team of the Economic Crime Unit receive, assess, develop and allocate all fraud and cybercrime referrals arriving in TVP. In this exciting role, you will contribute towards the development and management of investigative strategies in a variety of specialist fields. 

As part of this role, you will be allocating investigations to the most appropriate resource and therefore effective liaison and communication skills are required. You should also have a good working knowledge of the Fraud Act, Proceeds of Crime Act and other legislation pertaining to economic crime issues. The ability to demonstrate flexibility in the role and a willingness to work anywhere in Thames Valley when the need arises, is essential. A proven competence in all aspects of the investigative process is required. 

Specialist knowledge or qualifications in such fields are not an absolute requirement of the post, however, a clear understanding of the national Fraud agenda and Action Fraud processes are highly desirable. Knowledge and awareness of business environments is also desirable as is experience in investigating Fraud, Financial and Cybercrime offences. 

Along with all other posts in the Force CID, Intelligence and Specialist Operations departments this role will require an enhanced level of vetting.

Vetting.  All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice. The residency requirement is necessary to enable all applicants to be checked in an equitable manner.
