In this role you will promote Thames Valley Police as an Employer of Choice by coordinating all recruitment events across the force including: community engagement events, events for underrepresented groups, recruitment events and focussed careers events in order to attract candidates for recruitment campaigns. To establish a diverse workforce that represents our communities you will research and develop positive action initiatives in relation to recruitment activity, working closely with key stakeholders and ensuring material is engaging and relevant to different audiences.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills which enable you to interact with and influence various stakeholders. Experience of working within recruitment and / or managing events is essential as well as experience of developing and delivering presentations to a variety of audiences. You will be capable of working with minimal supervision whilst organising and prioritising workloads in order to work to defined deadlines. You must also be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. As you will be required to attend events across the force, potentially during the evening and weekend, a flexible approach to working and a willingness to travel is essential.

Vetting.  All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice. The residency requirement is necessary to enable all applicants to be checked in an equitable manner. Thames Valley Police will allow applicants to apply who do not necessarily reach the criteria as long as they have proven UK residency and supporting evidence where necessary.
