Technology Services is a function within the Joint ICT Department of Hampshire Constabulary and Thames Valley Police. We are responsible for keeping the blue lights on and delivering innovative solutions to ensure Police Officers and staff can access key services that allow us to stay online, connected and ahead of the game. We are looking for dynamic technologists to help support our next generation infrastructure environment.
Working within our Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) team, you will be responsible for supporting different infrastructure platforms, and delivery mechanisms, including Cloud, IaaS and hybrid. You will be working with Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Avaya CS1000, Avaya AACC6, Polycom conference phones, Cisco Telepresence and Redbox recorders.
Within the network team, our voice engineers are responsible for the provisioning, deployment, configuration and administration of the forces voice estate. The primary focus on working with our contact centers. The ideal candidate for this job will have an experience working on large voice platforms and working with a busy 24/7, multimedia contact center, working with voice service providers and have experience with legacy and future voice technologies.
You will play a key role in supporting our business-as-usual initiative responsible for resolving technical issues, assist with lifecycle management of existing solutions and carry out routine housekeeping and maintenance checks to maximize system availability. You will apply functional knowledge and technical support to our various network offerings and contribute towards innovative solutions to our customers.
- Experienced in delivering and supporting virtual, physical and cloud server infrastructures within an ITIL focussed environment.
- Experienced in the configuration and support of customer’s voice networks – LAN’s & WANs, routers, switches, SIP, H323, ISDN, PSTN with a specialism in one or more areas acquired through academic qualification or further professional training and development.
- Experienced in supporting a multimedia contact centre environment.
- Experienced in working with different infrastructure technologies including Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Avaya CS1000, Avaya AACC6, Cisco Telepresence, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Windows 8.1/10, Other VOIP PBX/contact centre exposure
- Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills to investigate, diagnose, and rectify issues relating to the infrastructure technologies.
