An exciting opportunity is available for a number of experienced Detective Constables to investigate serious and organised crime across the South East region. The advertised posts will be across a number of SEROCU locations as well as a number of future predicated vacancies at these sites.

Current vacancies are based in Horsham, Sussex and near Fareham, Hampshire.

The successful applicant will act as OIC/case officer for some of the most challenging but rewarding investigations into serious & organised crime.

We are seeking highly capable candidates with a strong investigative background, an enquiring mind and sound professional knowledge. Leading the response to SOC requires innovation, tenacity, a problem solving approach. A background in covert investigations, tactics and/or serious and organised crime is desirable but we can develop your skills and knowledge.

The successful candidates will be able to effectively and efficiently manage complex investigations, managing competing demands and critically analyse vast amounts of information.

Q1 mobile surveillance is not required to apply for this role.

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the south east. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home.

SEROCU will also be holding a number of sessions where you can meet representatives from a number of departments in person to discuss our work and current and future opportunities. These will be advertised shortly.
