An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Head of Business Systems to join the Finance Directorate to support, improve and modernise our internal business systems and applications.  You will be the technical expert in the Directorate Senior Leadership team, reporting to the Director of Finance.

As Head of Business Systems you will be responsible for providing leadership to and management of, the Business System team, to drive change to ensure the future resilience of the team and systems (People, Duties, Finance, Stores)

The development side of the team has created multiple bespoke applications and reports where the existing disparate systems do not satisfy stakeholder requirements, whereas the support side of the team is responsible for supporting the back office systems by assisting with queries, generating reports and system administration.

You will develop and implement the future strategy for the team to provide resilience for the future in terms of technologies, applications and personnel.  Your role as a technical expert within the Finance Directorate is to work collaboratively with all stakeholders and the ICT department to deliver in line with the force objectives.

The role has overall responsibility for operational delivery and development of the Business Systems team whilst developing and maintaining an in depth knowledge of the data and how it can be used in the delivery of existing and future developments throughout the team

This position requires an experienced senior leader with excellent people skills and a strong practical technical background.
