Permanent

This is a new and exciting role where you will be responsible for testing the risk, efficiency, effectiveness and compliance of CT policies, procedures, systems and protocols against the CT control framework, working across the south east region in support of CT policing.

You will provide independent and objective assurance to the Head of CT Policing in the SE and the CT Network national Headquarters, with a remit to review compliance and assurance across all and any area of CT business. This includes, but is not limited to, Intelligence, Investigations, Protect, Prepare, Prevent and Business functions. In this role you will work with national stakeholders at all levels, engaging with CT heads, senior leaders, various agencies and practitioners.

This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism as you will be an ambassador for CTPSE and the CT Policing network. Therefore, experience of partnership working is essential to the role. You will also have proven experience of working in a professional compliance, assurance and audit environment.

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the south east. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential.

Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to Developed Vetting (DV) level. Furthermore, due to the nature and sensitivity of work carried out we require that candidates not only hold this vetting level but that they also undertake additional security clearances which include additional nationality checks. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals. This is line with government requirements, supported by Cabinet Office policy and Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), and is for the purpose of safeguarding national security, to ensure that any potential vulnerabilities are identified at an early stage.

CTP SE are committed to becoming the most diverse team in the South East. We encourage interest and applications from candidates of all backgrounds and particularly welcome applications from female and BAME (black, Asian and minority ethic) candidates to enable us to truly reflect the communities we serve.
